Accomodations > Student residence (for any participant)

Rooms in a student residence (CROUS) can be rented for 193 euros for the week of July 13-20. The student residence is about 30 minutes away from the conference site by public transportation. Each room has a single bed, a private bathroom and a refrigerator.

Each guest receives a set of sheets, towels, and toilet paper, but not soap or shampoo.

Keys must be picked up at the residence on July 13 by 5pm or at ESPCI on July 14 by 6pm or at the conference site on July 15. A participant does NOT have to be a student to stay at the residence. Any BIFD participant can stay there. Reservation and payment for the student residence is through BIFD.

The student residence that CROUS has allocated to BIFD is at 81 rue du Chevaleret, 75013 Paris. The nearest metro stop is Bibliotheque Francois Mitterand, where you can get metro line 14 and RER line C, and the closest buses are the 27, 62, 64 and 89. Buses 27 and 89, as well as the RER C train all go to the conference site near the Jardin du Luxembourg.  Here is a detailed map of the area. For buses 89 and 24, here are maps of their routes and here are lists of their stops.

Here is a list of participants who have reserved rooms at the student residence. If you want a room at the student residence and your name is not on the list, write to us very quickly.
